Congratulations to Mary C. Patty, M.S., CCC-SLP of the Narragansett School District who has been chosen the 2018 Speech-Language Pathologist of the Year! Mary was selected after the review of nominations by a RISHA committee comprised of retired school-based SLPs. Mary’s principal wrote that she is “a true team player and a professional…who can always be counted on to go the extra mile. Mary is also kind and respectful to all she deals with in her interactions.” One of Mary’s colleagues reported that “Mary is that therapist who is at work early in the morning and late in the afternoon planning individual and engaging evidence-based activities. Mary readily spends much of her own money to attend conferences and workshops to learn the last approaches.”
Mary will be recognized on September 22, 2018 at the Teacher of the Year celebration at WaterFire in Providence. Congratulations, Mary!
