Please join us for a special CEU event organized by the RISHA Medical Committee on Monday, October 28, 2019 at the Warwick Public Library, 600 Sandy Lane.

We welcome Sharon Frank, M.A., CCC-SLP as our Fall Continuing Education presenter. Sharon will be presenting a holistic approach to managing Exercise-Induced Paradoxical Vocal Fold Motion (EI-PVFM). EI-PVFM is an upper airway disorder that occurs in some athletes which is often misdiagnosed as Exercise Induced Asthma (EIA).

Sharon is a member of the Massachusetts Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the Buteyko Breathing Educators Association. She is a Level 3 Buteyko practitioner. Sharon is the Director and Owner of Speech and Voice Therapy Center, LLC in Foxboro Massachusetts. She has worked in a variety of settings in her 37-year career as a speech-language pathologist.

Registration will begin at 5:30 pm with Sharon’s presentation from 6:00-8:00 pm. Pizza and water will be served.
This event will be available for 0.2 ASHA CEUs at no cost to RISHA members who have paid their annual ASHA CE Registry fee. In order to have adequate seating and CEU registration materials available, please RSVP by October 18th to Dora Arsenault, Office Manager at doraclay1@verizon.net.
